The Rep is holding open auditions for local actors to be part of our vibrant new production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Joe Murphy and Madeleine Kludje.

This is a fantastic opportunity for performers from Birmingham and the West Midlands to audition for new Artistic Director, Joe Murphy‘s, debut production, alongside Deputy Artistic Director Madeleine Kludje, on The House stage. We’re looking for actors who fit the casting breakdown to bring this electrifying take on Shakespeare’s classic comedy to life.
What We’re Looking For
- Passionate, versatile actors who are excited by bold, contemporary storytelling.
- Performers who can bring energy, individuality and openness to Shakespeare’s text.
- Applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences – you do not need to have agent representation to apply.

Rehearsals from Mon 23 Mar 2026
Tech starts from Tue 21 Apr 2026

We are anticipating a high number of applications. If you are selected to attend an audition day, you will be notified via email on or before Wed 15 Oct.
