Assistant Producer (Applications Close: Sunday 26th January)

The Assistant Producer will work closely with the Producers to deliver Birmingham Rep’s programme of produced and co-produced work, including community work, across our three theatre spaces, The House, The Studio and the Door. It will also involve some work with our Deputy Artistic Director to support Programming in The Door.

Under the direction of the Senior Producer you will be the Rep’s main point of contact for received co-productions, liaising with our external producing partners and sharing information with the wider Rep team so that resources can be allocated appropriately, fostering excellent internal and external working relationships with colleagues, producers and promoters.

Pay: £29,928 per annum

Producing Assistant (Applications Close: Sunday 26th January)

We are looking for an efficient and capable administrator to support the producing activities of the organisation. This essential role will support the administration of the Producing department and will enable the team to work efficiently and effectively by absorbing a layer of procedural and contractual operations for produced shows and projects. The role will involve close working with all members of the Producing Team and liaison with other departments, including Production, Finance and Operations. This role will also provide diary and PA support to the Artistic Director. This job is a great opportunity for someone starting a career in arts producing/management.

Pay: £24,336 per annum

Senior Stage Technician (Applications Close: Monday 27th January)

The Senior Stage Technician role will work flexibly across disciplines to ensure that all technical, maintenance and operations are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes ensuring excellent customer service is consistently provided to staff, customers and visitors to The Rep & UVB (Unique Venues Birmingham) events while ensuring the efficient technical management & running of Rep events & productions. Digital technology and sustainability will be at the forefront of your thinking and at the heart of every project.

Pay: £27,861 per annum

Assistant Director - A Thousand Splendid Suns (Applications Close: Thursday 30th January at noon)

The Rep are looking for an Assistant Director for our upcoming co-production of A Thousand Splendid Suns by Ursula Rani Sarma adapted from the novel by Khaled Hosseini and Directed by Roxana Silbert which opens at Birmingham Rep Theatre in April 2025 before visiting Nottingham Playhouse and Leeds Playhouse.

Pay:  Total fee £3,900.  Fees are paid in line with UK Theatre/Equity rates for MRSL Grade 1.  Full breakdown of details are available in the information pack.

Head of Communications (Applications Close Friday 31st January at 9am)

The Rep invites applications for a Head of Communications based within in our Audiences and Media team. The opportunities to tell our story, increase our income, engage with current audiences and reach new audiences are limitless and as such we are seeking an ambitious, creative thinker.  As a senior communications expert, you’ll be adept at creating inspiring and effective comms for a multitude of target groups that promote and profile the work of The Rep in an imaginative, exciting, relevant and inspiring way.

Pay: £40,419 to £42,759 per annum dependent on experience.

Casual Technicians (Stage)

The Rep is looking to expand it’s pool of casual technicians.  Casual Technicians will provide technical services, install, operate and maintain staging, lighting & sound technical equipment for The Rep productions, visiting companies and conferences as required.

Casual Technicians will at times be required to flexibly support across all disciplines to ensure that all technical, maintenance and operations are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Please note: By submitting your CV you are agreeing for your details to be held in a pool. Therefore, a Rep member of staff will only be in contact if and when any availability arises.

Pay: £12 per hour, subject to overtime over 39 hours and all other additional payments in line with BECTU.  Enhanced rate available for additional duties including Duty Technician. Pay rate of £12.71 per hour for enhanced duties, e.g. Duty Technician.
