Ian West
Ian West is a performer and choreographer. He is the choreographer on The Play What I Wrote.
Ian trained at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts.
Choreography credits for theatre include: Cinderella – I Married A Numpty (Òran Mór); The Full Monty (UK and Ireland Tour); Last Tango In Partick (National Theatre Of Scotland); Cinderella (Kings Theatre Glasgow); Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (Kings Theatre, Glasgow); Pent Up (Dundee Repertory Theatre); IFEST (Blackpool); Crocodile (Roxy Agogo); Clyde 1 Live (SECC Arena) and Pulse, Eiderdown Dance International Glasgow (Tramway Theatre) and The Blues Brothers (UK Tour). Ian was also the dance captain for Olivier award-winning show The Play What I Wrote and is delighted to be back choreographing the show 20 years later.
Choreography credits for television include: Princess Mirror Belle (BBC) to be Released 2022; BAFTA nominated Molly And Mack (CBBC); Taking The Next Step (CBBC); BAFTA winning The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) and Digby Brown (STV).

Ian choreographed and directed multiple projects for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games including the Tom Daley ambassador performance (Fruit Market, Glasgow); the royal performance for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Emirates Arena); the Commonwealth Mascot press launch (BBC Scotland, Blue Peter); the Queen’s Baton Relay (Holyrood Parliament); Countdown with Sir Chris Hoy (ITV’s Daybreak) and Clyde And Friends (Scottish Tour).

Ian worked extensively for the Walt Disney Company on The Golden Mickeys, Hercules The Musical, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Disney Dreams and Morty and His Madcap Musical (DCL).
