Applications now open for Foundry
We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for Foundry.
The Rep’s highly acclaimed artist development programme, Foundry has supported theatre-makers from differing disciplines to grow their careers since 2013.
The programme runs from March to December, and offers 9-months of quality, in-depth artist training, mentoring and masterclasses for six emerging artists from the West Midlands. All artists are paid to take part.
Foundry is re-launching this year with a new look and will explore a new approach to artist development. Across the 9 months, participating artists will develop a deep understanding of co-creation, leadership and facilitation techniques in community settings, build their professional networks, learn how to apply for an Arts Council England project grant, develop skills in pitching creative work and receive a range of tailored learning opportunities specifically for Foundry artists.
At the end of the programme, artists can choose how to share their work and have the opportunity to contribute to published research about co-creation that will be shared within the industry.
Foundry is generously supported by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Ramps on the Moon
