LGBTQTeeHee! Launch
We are so excited to announce our brand new project in collaboration with Birmingham LGBT Centre, LGBTQTeeHee!
This exciting new project, created by Birmingham Rep’s Creative Learning team, is designed to provide a safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community to develop comedy and public speaking skills. Taking place across 10-weeks, this innovative programme is supported by professional comedians, such as renowned comedian, educator and comedy coach Angie Belcher.

LGBTQTeeHee! is open to anyone from the LGBTQ+ community and will take place at both Birmingham Rep and Birmingham LGBT Centre as part of BEDLAM Showcase, a celebration of the arts, mental health and wellbeing.
Successful applicants will develop their comedic writing skills, develop a comedy persona, and hone their craft and material into creating a routine which will be performed live at the Birmingham Rep this November.
The Birmingham Rep will be hosting a free Comedy Masterclass on Sat 3rd Aug, 12pm – 4.30pm at Birmingham LGBT Centre. All are welcome to attend and learn more about the project and begin the process of creating their own stand-up comedy routine.
