
New members to join The Rep's Board of Trustees
Birmingham Repertory Theatre is delighted to announce the appointment of Natasha Harris, Tracey Orr and Mark Smith to our Board of Trustees under Chair of the Board, Sir Andy Street.
Natasha Harris is an active member on several Boards and Committees, where she brings her over two decades of HR leadership experience. Natasha is passionate about continually improving the lives of Birmingham residents by bringing a focus to inequality across health, education and the arts.
Natasha said of her appointment:
I am truly honoured to join the Board of Trustees at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. The Rep holds a special place in the heart of Birmingham as a cultural institution that celebrates creativity, diversity, and community. I am passionate about the power of the arts to bring people together, and I look forward to contributing my experience to support The Rep in delivering its vision to inspire and connect audiences from all walks of life. ”
Tracey Orr is an experienced commercial Chief Operating Officer and Human Resources leader having spent 37 years working in the Co-operative movement. Currently Tracey is senior independent director on the board of Warwickshire County Cricket Club and a member of both their Remuneration Committee and Nominations Committee, acting as Board Sponsor for the development of the Women’s Game.
A declared fan of theatre and of the Rep in particular, Tracey says:
As a Birmingham resident I am a long-time admirer of The Rep, both of its standing in the arts sector but also the key role it plays in supporting communities and enterprise.’
Mark Smith is a Chartered Accountant who has lived in Birmingham for over 50 years and a long standing supporter of many Arts organisations in the region, including having served on the Board of the Birmingham Hippodrome and the Royal Shakespeare Company. In April 2025 he will begin a one-year term as High Sheriff of the West Midlands.
