Taking part in Youth Theatre gives young people the chance to develop acting skills and grow in confidence and creativity.
The Rep’s acclaimed Youth Theatre company Young Rep, works with young people aged between 7 and 25 to produce a broad range of high quality theatrical experiences. Due to circumstances out of their control, there are a number of young people who simply cannot afford to take part.
By funding a Youth Theatre Bursary you’ll give a young person the chance to develop their skills and achieve their ambitions.
A donation of £85 will pay for a term or £265 will pay for a full year’s Youth Theatre’s sessions for a young person.
To find out more please email development@birmingham-rep.co.uk or to pay by phone, call 0121 236 4455.

The Youth Theatre brought me out of a dark place in my life, I love it. I’ve made a new family and found a path for my future. I’m so thankful for this place.” Youth Theatre participant
Fund a Full Year
Before I joined I was really shy, but the Youth Theatre really helped me develop my confidence”. Bursary Recipient
The Rep was one of the main reasons I applied to drama school. It was the first theatre I visited as a child and the first theatre I ever performed in. Without it my life may have taken a completely different course. The Rep’s impact goes far beyond the economic contribution it makes to my home city – it is an essential and vital pathway for aspiring talent, for creating truly world class productions and for welcoming back that talent when it has flowered.”
