“I am enjoying being with like-minded people. I feel I can be myself. If I am having a bad mental health day, I know I will be understood.”

The Rep’s ground-breaking project for the LGBTQ+ community returns for another 10-week programme this autumn. Supported by professional comedians and wellbeing practitioners, you’ll discover your comedy voice, craft your persona, and turn your experiences into a stand-up comedy set that’s both empowering and hilarious. Plus, the opportunity to perform your work as part of a new comedy night at The Rep in November.
Through comedy, we hope to build resilience, reduce stigma and encourage honest discussions around mental health in a fun and supportive environment.
LGBTQTeeHee! is open to anyone from the LGBTQ+ community and will take place at The Rep.
We will be hosting a free Comedy Masterclass on Sat 16 Aug 12pm – 4.30pm with renowned comedian Angie Belcher. Come along to get a taste of LGBTQTeehee!, meet the team, and have a go at creating some jokes of your own.
