Fearless British African heritage contemporary theatre company tiata fahodzi have been delving into stories of what we are, and what we are becoming.
Exploring the theme of Everywhere – this triple bill of short plays written by Yusra Warsama, Magero and Anyebe Godwin tells the stories of our tomorrows. Drama and conflict are things that we experience as humans everywhere beyond the limitations of a theatre space, and these 3 commissioned writers are exploring what that means to them in short form.
Directed by Roy Alexander Weise MBE, Everywhere will feature Aisha Jawando (Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton The Musical – UK Tour; Tina in Tina The Musical – Aldwych Theatre), Reba Ayi-Sobsa (Black Mirror – Netflix; Daisy Chains – The Production Exchange), and Shadrach Agozino (Anthem Live – Almeida Theatre; Murder in Provence – ITV).
The three actors will feature in all three of the short plays, which are interlinked by their socio-political themes telling original and diverse stories that take us from displacement to maternity wards.

Reba Ayi-Sobsa
Training: London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA)
Reba most recently could be seen in the OFFIES nominated show by their fruits at Theatre 503. Other credits include Black Mirror S7 (Netflix) and Daisy Chains (The Production Exchange).
Shadrach Agozino
Training: The Brit School and Mountview.
Shadrach played the lead role in short Killing Boris Johnson directed by Musa Alderson-Clarke, which was nominated in the La Cinef category at Cannes Film Festival in 2023. He has co-written and stars in Trouble directed by Sarah Blok, which was nominated for a Student Academy Award (Oscars) for best Narrative Short Film and most recently was included in the BFI London Film Festival.
Stage credits include: starred as Zac in Bwoy Dem in association with Derby Theatre; Key Words for the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre and Anthem Live at the Almeida.
Screen credits include: Murder in Provence (ITV) Endeavour VIII (ITV) and features Fast X (Universal Pictures).

Anyebe Godwin
Anyebe Godwin
Anyebe grew up in South East London and trained at Rose Bruford College.
Acting credits include: The Empress (RSC) Falkland Sound (RSC), Foxes (Theatre 503/Defibrillator Theatre), Amsterdam (Actor’s Touring Company, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Orange Tree Theatre), Little Baby Jesus (JMK Award/Orange Tree Theatre), Four Minutes Twelve Seconds (Trafalgar Studios/Hampstead Theatre), Serious Heroes (Old Vic New Voices)
As a writer Anyebe has trained on Soho Writer’s lab (2019/2020), Hightide Writer’s Collective (2021) and Young Vic Neighbourhood Voices (2021/2022). His debut play ‘Bad Blood’ a play about a young man navigating his way through life with Sickle Cell, had a rehearsed reading in August 2021.
Magero
Magero
Magero is an award-nominated spoken word artist, writer and co-founder of ‘The Brotherhood Creative Collective’.
Known for his intricate writing style, Magero often fuses music, poetry and acting within his artistry. He is a vivid storyteller who’s work is largely influenced by his lived experiences and beliefs.
In 2022 his debut play ‘He Said She Said’ toured schools across London and was watched by over 3,000 students. The following year the play had a sold-out run at the Kiln Theatre. In 2022 he performed at Theatre Peckham as part of his co-written spoken word theatre play ‘Men-TALL’. Magero is a credited writer and performer as part of Ivan Michael Blackstock’s Production ‘TRAPLORD’, winner of the 2023 Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production. His debut spoken word release ‘Climate Change Need Not Become The Legacy We Leave’ is available to watch via BBC Ideas and he has performed at events such as Breakin’ Convention Festival, BCDO, Crxss Platfxrm Festival and The BBC Music Radio Awards.
Yusra Warsama
Yusra Warsama
Yusra is a performance poet, actor, writer and theatre practitioner, her passions lie in creating work through play and exploration of life experiences in the world we live in. Past, present and future work takes many forms, from her developing a one woman show which uses spoken word, storytelling, live art and physical expression, to foundation collaboration work ‘Grace’ and ‘Make – Believe’ with Quarantine, which looks at exploring theatre without focus on characters but the one to one relationship between performer and audience.
Yusra began her theatre career in her home city Manchester, whilst studying (BA HONS) Criminology & Sociology. From there, she began working with both national and international theatre companies and artists, learning that art and communicating narrative, had the power to translate human experience through a multitude of lenses. Her collaborative work includes Don Lett’s Speakers Corner, a spoken word theatre piece.
Recent credits include: Of All the Beautiful Things In The World 2023 inspired by Lorca, Yusra created this piece of theatre with her unique skilled way in building story as a writer and director and Arawello– the original Somali warrior Queen – this piece is currently in progress.
As well as making theatre Yusra is continuing her work with young and community groups in “making something”

Roy Alexander Weise MBE
Roy is a director, writer, facilitator, dramaturg, creative business consultant and cultural leader with a passion for empowerment and enlightenment through storytelling across a range of mediums including theatre, film, radio, poetry and television.
He was Joint Artistic Director & CEO of Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre from 2019-23 where he programmed productions such as Bloody Elle (West End transfer), Rockets & Blue Lights (NT transfer), Electric Rosary, Let The Right One In, My White Best Friend North, BETTY! A Sort Of Musical and more; championing new artists and cracking open the classic canon for new and existing audiences.
Credits as director include: The Hot Wing King (National Theatre); Untitled F*ck M*ss S**gon Play (Young Vic/Manchester International Festival 2023); Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, The Mountaintop (Royal Exchange); Much Ado About Nothing (RSC); Master Harold and the Boys, Nine Night (National Theatre).
