Jack loves his Mum, and his Mum loves Jack. Jack also loves his grub and dreams of food. The extremely greedy Giant loves food too, but doesn’t leave enough for all to share. Join Jack on his fantastical, festive adventure of magical beans, golden harps and towering beanstalks, as he climbs to the land above the clouds to teach the Giant a jolly good lesson.

Content Advice
The performance contains flashing lights. These occur halfway through the performance, during a ‘thunderstorm’ and towards the end of the show as Jack climbs down the beanstalk.
Flickering lights are also used throughout the performance.

Nataylia Roni is grateful to be playing Mum in Jack & the Magic Beanstalk at The Rep this holiday season.
She recently performed in a live play reading at Leicester Curve Theatre and Stardust at Coventry Belgrade Theatre. Past children’s and family show credits include Fairy Godmother at Liverpool Empire Theatre, Fairy Godmother at Kidderminster Town Hall, Nat in Bafta Award-Winning BBC CBeebies programme Boogie Beebies, Nala in Disney’s The Lion King West End show, Why Bird in Playdays and Bisto and Virgin Media Commercials playing a mum.
Other projects include Host/MC for Commonwealth Youth Awards in London, Sky/Amazon/RNT/R&D’s/Regional & Uk No 1 tours. Facilitator and curator of performing arts workshops at MAC.

Katherine Chandler
Katherine is an award-winning Welsh writer working extensively in theatre, film, radio and television.
Twice a finalist for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn prize with her plays ‘Before it Rains’ and ‘Parallel Lines’. Katherine was awarded the judges prize in the Bruntwood prize for playwriting for her play ‘Bird’. Bird was coproduced by Manchester Royal Exchange and Sherman Theatre and received critical acclaim.
Her play ‘Lose Yourself’ was described by The Guardian as a ‘devastating night out’.
Katherine was the inaugural winner of the BBC and National Theatre Wales, Wales Drama Award and has worked a number of times with both companies. BBC iPlayer released Katherine’s first film ‘Tag’, in the drama launch of BBC3/BBC iPlayer. She has worked with BBC drama on both EastEnders and Casualty and was a series writer on the award winning BBC 4 radio drama ‘Tracks’.
Katherine has adapted a number of works for children including The Silly Kings, Princess and the Pea and The Ugly Duckling.
Currently Katherine is working with companies such as The Royal National Theatre, National Theatre Wales, Clean Break, Birmingham Rep and Theatr Clwyd.
