We invite our audience to join Rep Staff, trustees and members of our Young Rep for this participatory workshop which will set the tone for The Rep’s Climate Action week.
Writing a letter to the earth can be a simple and powerful way to deepen our connection with the natural world and the people we are sharing it with.
Letters to the Earth is a global participatory campaign calling on people everywhere to write and share a letter in response to the climate and ecological emergency.
Excellent workshop – so well facilitated – allowing expression, shared feeling and empathy, leading to empowerment”
Sinead Codd, participant at Culture Declares Emergency South East Hub Hastings
A letter can help you make sense of these extraordinary times, express your vision for a better world and inspire others to be part of a growing story of courageous and imaginative change-making. Letters speak from the heart and are a personal call to action. They connect us back to what matters most: our relationship to each other, to all other living beings, and the earth.
Writing the letter was a powerful process of considering what else I can actually do to make a difference.”
Amanda Powell-Smith, Forster Communications
I feel inspired to start voicing my concerns”
Led McConnell, participant at Create North Festival Durham
