Following the Young Rep: The Company’s production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in 2022, Tyriq Baker, a member of the Young Rep: The Company, has composed and written, with many collaborators, a music project titled A Night’s Dream.

The result is an innovative re-telling of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, employing a colourful and surreal fusion of pop, rock, folk, jazz, rap, reggae, electronic and more, whilst staying true to the main plot line and themes.

This project has been birthed through collaboration with many other members of Young Rep: The Company, and musicians and singers in and around Birmingham and beyond, resulting in a blend of unique voices that the album would not be complete without.

The project is split into three albums (Vol.1, Vol.2 and Vol.3), and this evening will take the listener through the full experience of the album chronology, with text and lyrics on screen for the audience to follow along.
