Birmingham Rep in Centenary Square, Birmingham
Four actors are on stage playing various colourful, homemade instruments. A man wearing a red jacket sits centre stage playing a guitar, an actor to his left wears a check shirt and stands behind him playing a washboard. Another actor to his right wears a check shirt and plays a cello whilst the fourth actor, also wearing a check shirt, blows into a moonshine jug that has a chicken on the front.

You Know My Mum

You Know My Mum is a cheeky comedy about life and death for all the family. The story follows Bluey, a baby bird, and Alex, a 25-year-old woman with Down’s syndrome who is struggling with the death of her mum.

While Bluey learns about fried chicken factories and joins a boot camp for birds, Alex battles Harry Potter monsters and dreams about life after death. As her wild imagination comes to life, Alex will learn that the love she thought she lost is actually all around her.
